Both the 2023 INFINITI QX80 and 2023 Lexus GX 460 are three-row vehicles but the QX80 is roomier overall. It comes standard with second-row captain’s chairs and thus seating for seven, but a second-row bench that increases capacity by one is optional with all trim levels. The GX 460 also comes standard with seven-passenger seating but has a second-row bench. Captain’s chairs are optional with the Premium and Luxury trim levels but reduce seating capacity to six. There are notable differences in spaciousness as well. The cab in the QX80 provides almost 2 inches more headroom. Second-row legroom is much roomier in the INFINITI and actually accommodates adults comfortably. The QX80 also provides more dedicated cargo space at 16.6 compared to 11.6 cubic feet. Space in the third row is similar. The Lexus has more front legroom, but the INFINITI is still at about 40 inches.

The 2023 Lexus GX 460 is designed exclusively as an all-wheel-drive vehicle. INFINITI of Montgomery offers the 2023 INFINITI QX80 as either rear- or four-wheel drive. The Lexus has a six-speed automatic transmission. The INFINITI has a seven-speed automatic transmission. While both of these vehicles are powered by V8s, there is a power gap between them. The Lexus has a 4.6-liter V8 that makes 301 horsepower and 329 pound-feet of torque and which can tow up to 6,500 pounds when properly equipped. The INFINITI has a 5.6-liter V8 that makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque and which can tow up to 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.

The INFINITI QX80 has a 12.-inch touch screen with integration, a rearview camera system with a 360-degree surround-view camera, a digital rearview mirror, adaptive cruise control and all of the other advanced driver assists that you expect at this price point. Adaptive headlamps are the only item not included in the base package and which are added with the top trim level. Some of those features, such as the digital rearview mirror and adaptive headlamps are not available on the Lexus. Most others are, but some, such as the surround-view camera, are offered as options, and the Lexus has a smaller touch screen at 10.1 inches.
