Cadillac opts for synthetic leather seating and requires you to move beyond the base trim to get that upgrade. The engine under the hood of the INFINITI is a 5.6-liter V8 that makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The Escalade has a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 hp and 460 lb.-ft. Trailering equipment is optional with both makes, but the INFINITI is the better option here as it can tow up to 8,500 pounds whereas the Cadillac tops off at 7,700 pounds.

The standard technologies package for the QX80 is much more robust than with the Escalade. In fact, Cadillac all but requires you to choose the up-level Premium Luxury trim in order to get all of the features that are expected in this price range. INFINITI also includes some features that you can’t get on the Escalade, such as a digital rearview mirror and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Outside of those omissions, the models are very similar and both have features like a head-up display.
